We believe the next great companies should be funded by the people who believe in them most — not just by the wealthy few.
Seedling was founded in 2023 with a simple conviction: the best ideas should have access to capital, and the best investors shouldn't need to be millionaires.
For decades, early-stage startup investing was restricted to accredited investors — people with over $1 million in net worth or $200,000 in annual income. The result was a system where venture capital was concentrated in a small number of coastal cities, and the incredible wealth created by startup success went almost entirely to those who were already wealthy.
The JOBS Act of 2012, and specifically the Regulation Crowdfunding (Reg CF) rules that took effect in 2016, changed that. For the first time, everyday Americans can invest in startups and receive real equity — the same rights that accredited investors and VCs have long enjoyed.
Seedling is a SEC-registered funding portal and FINRA member. We take our regulatory responsibilities seriously and work hard to ensure that every campaign on our platform provides complete, accurate disclosures to investors.
